A Story About Corned Beef Hash
Always a stickler for quality! !
When Ed Westmoreland, owner-proprietor of Eddie Papa’s American Hangout, was just a young man, he was a student at Cal— UC Berkeley. And like all college students everywhere, less than efficient time management led to all night cramming sessions. Eddie would come out of these all-night sessions exhausted… and hungry. Just like all his friends. But while his friends would be willing to head over to ___________ (fill in the blank of corporate diner), Eddie insisted on heading over to Bette’s Oceanview Diner in Berkeley.
There, while he munched on his “reward” breakfast, he made a promise to himself— “If I ever have my own restaurant, I’m only going to serve food that I myself would be happy to eat”
So we come to Eddie Papa’s Corned Beef Hash and Eggs—
Nothing out of a can. Savory house made corned beef made right here at Eddie Papa’s— grilled and mixed with crusty yet soft potatoes, nestled under two over-easy eggs. A breakfast worth dreaming about.
And you don’t even have to pull an all-nighter to get it!
